Everybody wants to look fashion and good. And now, the must-have guilt pleasure of a fashionista is to have a leather jacket!
And the question is: I want so bad a leather jacket, but I want to be green! Is that possible? And the answer is YES! Its not because you are green that you have to dress like a dirty hippie! No!
A good alternative is look for a jacket in the 2nd hand store, because the vintage jacket is always unique and a green choice! And also, as Stella McCartney already did it, is to use fake leather. look this stella boots.

O que mais me impressionou foi o fato de ser IMPOSSÍVEL viver nos dias de hoje sem impactar o meio ambiente. O filme é a maior prova disso, pois se fosse uma atitude banal viver sem impactos no mundo, definitivamente esse projeto não viraria tema de um documentário tão abordado.

Lavar a roupa Aqui nos EUA, algo me deixou bem orgulhosa do meu país foi ver que em qualquer laundry machine tem a opção de lavar com água quente! Gente!!! Para que lavar com água quente?? Eu nunca tive máquina de lavar com essa opção e aqui é a coisa mais normal do mundo! E infelizmente, posso dizer que os meus rommates que são todos americanos, TODOS lavam suas roupas na opção HOT WATER e secam as roupas no secador. :( Isso é bem triste!
Fazer necessidades básicas e a higiene após o ato Nem preciso comentar que todos fazem número 1 e número 2, no entanto, no filme eles abdicam de usar papel higiênico para serem sustentáveis! aiiii isso eu fiquei com um pouco de nojo! será q não existe uma opção green para isso? Eu lembro minha avó dizendo que quando ela morava no interior, bem antigamente, eles usavam papel de pão ou eles limitavam por quadradinho o uso a cada ida ao banheiro.
Falta de opção de entretenimento Normalmente, a noite, depois de um dia estressante de trabalho, você quer lazer! Sair com amigos para beber, ir ao cinema, ir a um restaurante! No filme eles abdicam total de ir a restaurante, cinema, viajar, sair. ahhhhhhh isso é bem torturante!
Faxina do lar Para serem sustentáveis, por mais que há opções green para limpeza do lar, nada ainda é 100% green. Muitos apenas usam a label para vender mais e as pessoas comprarem com menos peso na consciência. No filme, a família joga todos os produtos de limpeza fora. E produz seus próprios produtos de limpeza.
Lixo compostável Um dos fatores que mais atormenta o mundo é a quantidade de lixo que jogamos no meio ambiente. Interessante o fato de que os protagonistas vivem no meio de uma big city e eles decidem compostar o próprio lixo. Sim! Compostar o lixo numa caixa de madeira no meio de NYC!!! Claro q um dia a casa começa a ser infestada de mosquito e bichinhos devido ao lixo.
Energia Por mais que queremos ser econômicos e green, energia elétrica é indispensável nos dias de hoje. Como faremos sem internet, cinema, música, por exemplo? Para isso, a família feliz adotou a utilização de energia elétrica! :) plim!
Não comprar produtos novos Esse é um dos temas mais chocantes para mim. Imagine uma pessoa do sexo feminino que está proibida de comprar qualquer produto de qualquer categoria por 1 ano! ahhh isso é um pouco aterrorizante! mas calma! 2nd hand store, thrift store, community store estão totalmente permitidos! :)
Geladeira A família protagonista que por 1 ano devido a produção desse documentário, teve que virar vegetarianos por ser a opção sustentável, ainda teve que enfrentar a questão da geladeria! Eles resolveram tirar a geladeira de casa para encontrar outras soluções para substituí-la. Tentaram com grandes vasos um método muito utilizado na Nigéria, no entanto, não deu certo. O leite azedou e eles tiveram que improvisar um cooler com gelo emprestado do vizinho. :(
O filme é uma reflexão interna de cada um. Perguntar para si mesmo, o que estamos fazendo que não é sustentável? Com certeza existem várias atitudes que podem ser mudadas com simples trocas e que fazem uma mega diferença. Sei que é suuuper difícil ser 100% sustentável hoje, para não dizer impossível, mas vamos começar a usar a consciência nas nossas atitudes já faz uma suuper diferença.
Coisas que eu faço para ter menos impacto Comecei a pensar quais as minhas atitudes que ajudam a minimizar o impacto no meio ambiente. - Lavar a roupa 1x por semana com água fria e secar lá fora ao natural - Ir todo sábado na Feira e comprar produtos super frescos, baratos e produzidos localmente - Ser vegetariana - Levar sua bolsa para fazer compras! (Eu sei que muitos tem a tal da Bagnesia "bag + amnesia", leia mais aqui.) - Bike como meio de transporte ou transporte público - Usar velas a noite. Tão mais gostoso! - Com as inúmeras opçoes de 2nd hand store, thrift community store, eu super me jogo! - Aqui todo mundo separa o lixo, compostável e reciclável - Eu tenho minha própria caneca!

4. Eco-Fashion brands I can say that its not easy to find eco- clothes that just bright my eyes. Most of the sustainable clothes are made of natural fabric, it means there are a huge tendency to look like yoga clothes. t-shirt, sweater and pants that look very comfortable but not necessary attractive to a fashionista criteria. But surprisingly, I found some nice stuffs. Yeahhh! Let's check this out.

Alisson Parris is in my top top brands! The founders’ commitment to eco-responsibility, the line uses sustainable, organic and/or repurposed fabrics without sacrificing style. The line also uses recycled PET satin, made from recycled soda bottles, to line many of its pieces.
Label is Natalie and Shawna brand and they are deeply committed to creating clothing from an ethical standpoint, utilizing, wherever possible, organic, renewable or reclaimed fibers for their garments. All production is by local contractors, with t-shirt designs drawn and printed by hand. (I like this label, the collection has good key clothes and it's very young and fresh fashion. Easily to find in any urban outfitters stores.)

Loyale is a fashion-forward, sustainable clothing company that aims to make the simple act of getting dressed in the morning world changing. Leila Hafzi is definetely the kind of clothes to go to the red carpet. Glamourous, sexy and chic, I can imagine Angelina Jolie wearing it and making a green manifest. Awesome!
